Here are a few ideas to get you started if you choose to stay local in California, Chicago, Seattle, South Florida, or Washington, D.C. this break! California Spring Break

If you're lucky enough to be in California this Spring, you're in for a treat. The Golden State offers a wide variety of fun and exciting destinations that are perfect for spring break.


San Francisco: Known for its hilly streets, cable cars, and iconic landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is a must-see destination for any traveler. Take a tour of Alcatraz Island, visit the Museum of Modern Art, or simply stroll through the vibrant neighborhoods of Chinatown, Haight-Ashbury, and the Mission.


Los Angeles: Home to Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles is a great place to explore the arts and culture scene. Visit the Griffith Observatory, take a walk on the beach in Santa Monica, or catch a movie at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre.


San Diego: With its mild temperatures, beautiful beaches, and abundance of outdoor activities, San Diego is the perfect destination for a spring break getaway. Visit the San Diego Zoo, take a guided tour of the USS Midway Museum, or spend a day at the famous SeaWorld.



Chicago Spring Break

Explore the Lincoln Park Zoo: This zoo is free to enter and open year-round, so you can spend a day checking out the animals and exhibits.


Visit the Art Institute of Chicago: Admission is free for Illinois residents on Thursdays from 5-8 pm, so you can explore the museum's collections without breaking the bank.


Walk or bike along the Lakefront Trail: This 18-mile path along Lake Michigan is a great way to get some exercise and take in the beautiful views of the city skyline.


Visit Millennium Park: This park is home to the famous Cloud Gate sculpture (aka "The Bean"), as well as plenty of green space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.



Seattle Spring Break

Visit Pike Place Market: This famous market is a great place to shop for local produce, fresh seafood, and handmade crafts. Be sure to watch the fishmongers throw fish!


Take a ferry ride: For a unique view of the city and the surrounding waterways, take a ferry ride to nearby islands like Bainbridge or Vashon. Prices are reasonable and the views are spectacular.


Check out the Seattle Central Library: This unique building is a great place to explore modern architecture, and also offers plenty of books and resources.



South Florida Spring Break

With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to go. Soak up the sun on the beach: Florida is known for its beautiful beaches, and many of them are free to visit. Some of the most popular options include South Beach, Miami Beach, and Key Biscayne Beach.


Take a walk on Ocean Drive: This iconic street in South Beach is home to colorful art deco buildings, trendy restaurants, and plenty of people-watching opportunities.


Explore Little Havana: This vibrant neighborhood is home to a large Cuban community, and offers a variety of authentic restaurants, shops, and cultural experiences.


Visit the Wynwood Walls: This outdoor art exhibit features colorful murals and graffiti by local and international artists, and is free to visit.


Visit the Miami Beach Botanical Garden: This peaceful garden offers a variety of plant species, walking paths, and educational exhibits, and is free to enter.


With so many great options to choose from, Florida is the perfect destination for your Spring Break vacation. Whether you want to party, relax, or explore, there's something for everyone in the Sunshine State.



Washington, D.C. Spring Break

Washington, D.C. is a great destination for a spring break trip, with a variety of fun and exciting places to visit.


The National Mall: This iconic area of D.C. is home to many of the city's most famous monuments and museums, including the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian museums.


The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum: This museum is dedicated to the history of flight and space exploration. It features a wide variety of aircraft, spacecraft, and other artifacts, as well as interactive exhibits that allow visitors to experience the thrill of flight.


The National Arboretum: This 446-acre urban garden is a beautiful place to spend a spring day. It has a large collection of trees and other plants, as well as a number of gardens, including the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum.
