Hotel Operator FAQ

Questions we hear from operators

How long does it take to launch?

If your property already has EV chargers, we can typically launch in 4 to 6 weeks. If chargers need to be installed, it usually takes roughly 3 months from permitting to completion.

How many vehicles will we have?

Fleet size is set during the sales process based on your property. Hotels and resorts live with Envoy today run anywhere from one vehicle to five.

What does it cost the property?

Typically the property pays a monthly amenity fee, and a share of the revenue from guest bookings is returned to the property. The property covers the electricity used for charging. Our team will walk you through the specifics for your property.

What about insurance?

Envoy provides basic auto insurance for drivers and liability coverage for your property. Guests are covered once they have registered in the Envoy Mobility app.

Who cleans and maintains the vehicles?

We do. Our team inspects each vehicle regularly and takes care of maintenance, cleaning, and sanitization. If a vehicle needs service, we provide a temporary spare.

Where do the cars park?

Before any contract is signed, our operations team visits with an electrician to find parking spots that work for you.

Can the vehicles be branded for our property?

Yes. A small Envoy decal is on the door, and we can brand the sides of the vehicles to match your property if you would like.

Do our staff need to manage anything?

No. Envoy is a turnkey service. We train your staff on everything Envoy, and guests get help from our support team by phone and email.
