Envoy launches a Tesla Model Y at Mondrian South Beach

First electric car share at a luxury hotel marks Envoy's entrance into the hospitality market

Envoy made a grand entrance into the hospitality market with the launch of a Tesla Model Y at the Mondrian South Beach. The hot and in demand neighborhood of Miami Beach is known for the trendy nightlife, luxury oceanfront hotels, fine dining, and world-famous beach scene. And now the Tesla at the Mondrian will allow hotel guests to enjoy freedom of movement without the additional hassle and expense of traditional car rental or ride share services.

"The mission of Envoy is to provide EV access and education to people where they live, work and stay. Our goal is to meet our members at their doorstep including where they travel, like guests staying at the Mondrian. Powered by our smart e-mobility travel becomes more convenient and it creates a network effect helping to make our world a cleaner place," said Ori Sagie, CEO and co-founder, Envoy Technologies.

The Mondrian is set on the stunning waterfront of Biscayne Bay and is just minutes from downtown Miami and the Miami Design District. Guests of the Mondrian have a lot of options to make their vacation memorable with tons of interesting things to do and see while visiting Miami. The Tesla Model Y comfortably seats up to 7 people and is ideal for day trips like a visit to nearby Key West which is only a few hours drive away.

This is the first launch at a hotel for Envoy, having previously built its electric car share offering in multifamily housing and office building sectors. Public car share options have declined over the past year while rental cars prices have significantly increased leaving drivers with less mobility options. Envoy perfectly fills this gap by providing on site electric car sharing as a property amenity.

“We are thrilled with the launch of our first electric car share at a luxury hotel, the Mondrian South Beach,” said Aric Ohana, President and co-founder of Envoy Technologies. “This is our first entry into the hospitality market and, as a busy traveler myself, I know first hand how hard it can be to find reliable transportation in a new city. Mondrian South Beach guests will love having a new Tesla Model Y ready to drive when they need it.”

Mondrian's relaxed, tropical and modern environment is the perfect waterfront escape and provides a host of luxury amenities including the Tesla Model Y. Hotel guests can book the iconic all-electric SUV by the hour or day using the Envoy Mobility app. The car is housed on the property and connected to the charger by valet. This eco-friendly car share also allows for a controlled cleaning schedule to align with public health protocol.

“Mondrian South Beach is delighted to be the first hotel to offer Envoy, electric car sharing. Our guests will appreciate the ease of dedicated, immediate transportation right out of the lobby,” said Christina Gil, Director of Marketing, Mondrian South Beach. “The versatile Tesla Model Y crossover will offer plenty of space for a wide range of guest parties to zip around Miami in comfort with all the innovative tech bells and whistles.”

The Mondrian South Beach launch follows the news of further expansion in the Miami market with cars at The One at University City (partnership with Global Cities) and Icon Las Olas (partnership with Related Group.)
