Envoy was proud to participate in National Drive Electric Week, which took place Sep 25-Oct 3, 2021. National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more that are available to commuters! We like to encourage driving electric year round, but it is wonderful to come together as a community for a week of education and learning.
Presented by Plug In America, Electric Auto Association, Sierra Club, and EVHybridNoire, National Drive Electric Week provided a plethora of educational resources and online events to learn more about electric vehicles, incentives offered to drivers considering going electric, and local public charging station resources.
Some of our favorite online events were “Save Money by Going Green!” This virtual webinar shared available incentives and rebates to lower the purchase price of pre-owned or new clean vehicles. On October 1st, the “Drive the Future Southern California: E-Mobility Town Hall” had a few industry leading panelists discuss topics such as public health benefits, local workforce opportunities, local charging capabilities and infrastructure, electric vehicle and e-bike rebate programs, and emerging technology developments. Some of our partners from the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator and KIGT shared their insights into accelerating equitable deployment of electric transportation to local community members and attendees.
Overall, it was a clean and green week with new and experienced EV drivers coming together to share resources and promote electric vehicles! Some events had up to 24 different types of electric vehicle model owners. With the top EVs that drivers owned being Chevrolet Bolts, Nissan Leafs, Tesla Model 3s, Tesla Model Ys, Audi e-trons, and Fiat 500e.
All of those models mentioned can be found in our nationwide fleet of vehicles as well. It is so easy to get around town in a Chevy Bolt or Tesla Model 3. In addition to the list of vehicles mentioned, we also have Honda Claritys, the newly released Polestar 2, Tesla Model S, and the crowd pleasing favorite Tesla Model X.
