Before You Drive

3 steps
01

Reserve and Unlock

Book the E-Transit the same way you book any Envoy vehicle. Locate it in the app, reserve your time, and use the app to unlock the van. Your Envoy app is your key.

02

Starting the Van

Press the brake pedal and push the Start/Stop button on the dash. The E-Transit powers on silently, so check the instrument cluster to confirm it's ready before you shift into gear.

03

Get a Feel for the Size

This van is taller, longer, and wider than a typical Envoy vehicle. Take a moment to check your mirrors and get comfortable with the extra length and height before pulling out.

Charging

Front-mounted port

CCS1 Fast Charger

Look for ChargePoint, Electrify America, EVgo, or Blink DC fast chargers and plug the CCS1 connector directly into the front port. No adapter needed.

15-80% in about 34 min

J1772 Public Charger

Standard Level 2 chargers at parking garages, retail centers, and public lots use a J1772 connector. Plug in for a top-up or a full overnight charge.

Full charge in about 8 hrs
Charging is required when you return the vehicle

Under the Envoy Terms of Service, you must return the van to its designated Envoy spot and plug it into the charger every time, so it is ready for the next driver.

  • Always check the dashboard for your real-time estimated range. It reflects your recent driving, cargo weight, speed, and weather, and is more accurate than any fixed figure.
  • If you drop below 30 miles of range mid-booking, find the nearest public charging station and charge before continuing. It is the driver's responsibility to manage the battery range of the vehicle.
  • Returning the van drained or near-empty may result in fines and towing fees under the Terms of Service.

Good to Know

Driving a cargo van

Limited Rear Visibility

There's no rear window. Rely on the side mirrors and backup camera when reversing or changing lanes, and take it slow in tight spaces like parking garages.

Watch Your Height and Width

The van is taller and wider than a typical Envoy vehicle. Be mindful of low garage entrances, drive-throughs, and tight parking spots at Culdesac.

Keep the Cargo Area Clear

This is a shared vehicle, not a personal moving van. Please don't leave belongings behind, and keep the cargo area clean for the next driver.
